Scalmalloy aluminium alloy powder is a high-performance, scandium-reinforced aluminum
\nmagnesium alloy, specifically engineered for additive manufacturing (AM).
\nScalmalloy aluminium alloy is the first commercial aluminum alloy designed to rival titanium in
\nspecific strength, offering a superior strength-to-weight ratio for lightweight applications.
\nDuring printing, Scandium forms nanoscale, fully coherent Al3Sc precipitates which are thermally
\nstable and act as powerful strengtheners, refining the grain structure without requiring rapid
\nquenching.
\nThe Ultimate tensile strength (UTS) can reach 530MPa, and the yield strength around
\n480-520MPa after printing. Its density is approximately 2.7g\/cc which is roughly 60% lighter than
\ntitanium alloys.
\nOur Scalmalloy powder is produced by vacuum gas atomization process with excellent sphericity,
\nflowability and lower oxygen content which is ideal for additive manufacturing (3D printing).<\/p>\n
