This alloy belongs to the 5000-series family of<br \/>\naluminum alloys with excellent corrosion resistance and good weldability. It corresponds to UNS<br \/>\nA95056 (aluminum 5056).<br \/>\nThe AlMg5 powder is an increasingly important feedstock for laser-based additive manufacturing<br \/>\n(LPBF).
