F55 (Alloy 100) super duplex stainless steel powder

F55 (Alloy 100) duplex stainless steel powder is a super duplex stainless steel (UNS S32760). It is also called Werkstoff Number 1.4501 or Zeron 100,formulated for additive manufacturing, particularly for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF).

Its composition includes high levels of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, copper, nitrogen, and tungsten, which provide exceptional strength and outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive, chloride-rich environments like seawater. This powder is gas-atomized to produce a spherical shape with good flow characteristics for 3D printing.

Its microstructure features a balanced austenitic-ferritic microstructure.

Our manufacturing process is typically produced by gas atomization using nitrogen to achieve a spherical powder morphology.

HIP Technology
