Niobium is a rare, soft, malleable, ductile, gray-white metal. It has a body-centered cubic crystalline structure and in its physical and chemical properties it resembles tantalum. Niobium micron powder finds itself in various applications such as electronics, alloy-making, and medical due to its desirable chemical, electrical, and mechanical properties. Niobium powder is an effective microalloying element which is used in steelmaking, and highly used in production of superalloys and high-entropy alloys.
